February in Little Rock, AR

Anyone who knows Arkansas, knows February weather is a wild card.  Warm and spring-like?  Cold and rainy?  Who know?  That is why you always make plans that let you stay inside, or head outside at a moments notice!

So, what do we have in Little Rock this month?  The Arkansas Repertory Theater is presenting Clybourne Park, a Tony award winning comedy.  Everyone has an opinion in this play.  History and real estate, a great combination, playing through February 9th.

Like intrigue?  The Clinton Library has "Spies, Traitors, and Saboteurs:  Fear and Freedom in America".  Created by the International Spy Museum in Washington D.C., this exhibit covers 200 years, chronicling law enforcements challenges in keeping us safe, while protecting our civil liberties.

Feeling a little warm and fuzzy?  Also at the Clinton Library "Presidential Pets".  Everything from rabbits to raccoons to bears, pets of the first families.

Murry's Dinner Playhouse is always a favorite. "Moma Won't Fly" is being presented this month.  The great LR actors bring the house down nightly.  Murry's is really worth seeing when you visit.

Come see us at Robinwood B&B.  We'll help you plan your visit to local restaurants, shops, and events!

Finally Fall!

Just when you think you just can’t take the heat of a Little Rock summer for one more minute, it ends.  And what begins in September is FALL!  The wonderful orange and red colors won’t be present for several weeks, but the early morning temperatures assure us it is coming.  And with it, all the great activities that Little Rock residents have come to love.

Outdoor bistros, the hint of barbeque in the air as you walk past a neighbors’ house, flowers finding their blooms again.  Mums.  Pumpkins.  What a glorious time of year.

But, you ask, what is there for the visitor to do this month?  Well, the Arkansas Repertory Theater is presenting Pal Joey.  I have been informed by a guest that it will be incredible.  Jordy Lievers will be playing Val Wondrous in the production.  There are several other truly outstanding performers(Tony award winning producter, Peter Schneider, for one).  It is a must see this month.

Of course the Clinton Library, with Oscar de la Renta;  Dash Rip Rock, at Sticky Fingers; and a perennial favorite, the Little Rock Zoo.

At Robinson Music Center, Bill Maher is performing on Sept 14th.  The award winning play “Wicked”follows from September 25th through October 6th.  John Edward, the physic, is in Little Rock on Oct.  27th.

There is just to much to mention, so come on it to town.  Drop your luggage with us at Robinwood B&B, and head on out for wonderful adventures!  We’ll point you in the right direction.
