I promised you a Breakfast Casserole!

Okay, so Thanksgiving is almost here and that morning will be crazy with family running around the house, and cooks trying frantically to get a feast ready in the kitchen.  Somehow, someone will demand breakfast!  This casserole is from an old family friend and modified to make it work a little easier.  It will shock and amaze your family at your culinary skill.  One guest calls it my “Breakfast Lasagne”
Ingredients:

1 package seasoned croutons

1 can cream of mushroom soup (cream of chicken can be used for non-mushroom fans!)

1/3 cusp  half and half

6 beaten eggs

2 cups grated cheese -cheddar

1  pound sausage

4 eggs, 1/2 cup half and half, 1 cup cheddar cheese

Directions:

Grease 9 X 12 baking dish.  Spread croutons in the bottom of the dish.  Sprinkle cheese over the cheese.  Spread brouned sausage over the cheese .  Beat eggs, milk, and soup together and pour over the top.  Refrigerate overnite.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Beat 4 eggs and 1/2 cups half and half together, pour on top of casserole.  Bake for 50 minutes, sprinkle remaining cheese on top and bake for 10 minutes.  Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serve.

Happy Thanksgiving from Robinwood B&B

Weddings at Robinwood

Mother and I were talking about what we wanted to do at Robinwood this winter, and we decided we would like to make Robinwood B&B romance central for November, December, and January.
We are putting together new packages for elopements and weddings.

While we recognize that cost should never prevent a bride from having everything she wants on her special day, we know that in this economy, it sometimes does.  We would love to make your wedding day beautiful and affordable.

We will work with you to make your dreams come true by making our packages fit your individual desires.  If you need a photographer, we will supply one.  If you prefer to cater your own reception, we will work with you on your menu.

We can provide all linens, dishes, glassware, and serving pieces that you require.  Flowers, candles, and ribbons can be used as much or as little as you prefer.

Let us make your day special and worry free, at Robinwood.

"Read My Pins" comes to Town

Madeleine Albright was best known as the United States’s first female Secretary of State for President Bill Clinton.  Her tough stance on world issues was often represented by the broaches she chose to wear to events.  Her choice to let her jewelry speak for her was recognized my the world leaders of her time.  Many of the broaches on display were given to her by visiting dignitaries in reference to current events.

The display will open at the Presidential Library on February 15, 2010.  Our Bed and Breakfast is less than 10 minutes from the Clinton Library.

"OH, THE WEATHER OUT THERE IS FRIGHTFUL!"

Temperatures in Little Rock have plummeted to ridiculous lows for a southern state!  But, in a couple of days, we’ll be back to normal.  Cabin fever has definately set in and the perfect cure is a wonderful weekend at Robinwood!  The fireplace in the Albert Pike Room makes for a warm and toasty experience.  The Jacuzzis warm the bones and this is a perfect neighborhood to explore.
