The Farmer's Market opens this week in the River Market in Little Rock

Little Rock Bed and Breakfasts use a lot of fresh produce!  The Farmer’s Market is now open in the River Market on Tuesdays and Saturdays.  One visit on Saturday and you are hooked.  The selection is fantastic, and the carnival atmosphere makes for a wonderful outing.  Between fresh meats, veggies, fruits, and breads, the choices are unlimited.

Artists selling  jewelry are dazzeling.  Painting, flowers, and t-shirts abound.

The entire River Market feels more alive now.  Friday night, the Humane Society is throwing a “Craws for Paws” party–unlimited crawfish/fixins/and cold beer.  It will run from 7 pm. until midnight.  The weather looks like it will cooperate and make for a fun evening.

So for visitors of Little Rock’s historic district,  outdoor fun is just beginning!

Spring in Little Rock

Little Rock, Ar bed and breakfasts are springing to life.  The dogwoods are blooming, azaleas are at their peak, and the irises are amazing!!  The scent of the wisteria reminds us that it is a great time to take a walk in a beautiful historic neighborhood.

May is for Moms in Little Rock

Little Rock Ar Bed and Breakfasts find May an exciting month.

Mother’s Day brings the annual Quapaw Quarter Spring Tour.  This year’s tour, “Something for Everyone”  let’s guests to Little Rock’s Historic Quapaw Quarter spend the day with Mom in a very special way.  Five very different historic homes will be on tour, St. Andrews Cathedral will be spectacular, and a newly available River Market condo will join this year’s tour.  Tickets will be available at the homes or at the Visitor’s Center at Curran Hall, which is also a “must see”.

Area Realtors will be holding open houses in the neighborhood while the Spring Tour is being held.  This wonderful neighborhood really goes all out to welcome visitors and make the day special.  While traveling the sidewalks between homes, be sure to say “Hi!’ to the residents you pass.  It makes their day special, too.
